These Terms of Service, together with any documents referred to herein, tell you the terms and conditions under which you may make use of our Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network, website, and all related services (the "Service").

Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By signing up or accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself, the company, organization, or business you represent.

Community Guidelines

In addition to these Terms of Service, we provide a set of guidelines for our community. These Community Guidelines fall under a common sense philosophy and we expect everyone using the Service to abide by them.

Individual Features and Services

When using the Service, you may be subject to any additional guidelines or rules applicable to specific services and features which may be posted online and notified to you from time to time (the "Guidelines"). All these Guidelines are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.

Creating an account

To access certain features of the Service, you must set up an account with an email and password (your "Account"). We encourage you to use unique and strong passwords with your Account, and not to reuse your password elsewhere.

While DareNET uses reasonable security precautions, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account and password, for restricting access to your computer, mobile devices, and for all activities that occur under your Account.

If we suspend your Account, you are not allowed to create another one without our permission.

If you have reason to believe that your Account is no longer secure (e.g., in the event of a loss, theft or unauthorized use of your Account), then you must immediately notify DareNET at abuse@darenet.org.

Proxy checks

We may perform checks for insecure proxies, or other harmful software on your computer when you access the Service. These checks may appear in firewall logs as a port scan. If we detect any such software, you may be blocked from further use of the Service temporarily or indefinitely.

Canceling your Account

Either you or we may cancel your Account at any time for any reason without notice.

Your only remedy with respect to any dissatisfaction with (i) the Service, (ii) the terms and conditions of these Terms of Service, (iii) or any policy or practice of DareNET in operating the Service, is to cancel your account and discontinue all use of the Service.

Our liability to you

The Service may contain resources and links to other sites provided by our users and other third parties ("Third Party Content"). We do not produce this Third Party Content and cannot be responsible for it in any way. You access and use the Service at your own risk.

Due to the nature of the Internet and technology, the Service is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis, and without a warranty of any kind. This means that we are unable to guarantee your use of the Service will be uninterrupted, without delays, and error-free, and that we do not give any commitment relating to performance or availability of the Service in these Terms of Service.

Changes to the documents

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms of Service at any time. If we change these Terms of Service, we will provide you notice of these changes, such as by sending an email, posting a notice on the Service, or updating the "Last modified" date above. The most current version will always be available at https://www.darenet.org/tos.

Your continued use of the Service after these Terms of Service has been amended will constitute your acceptance of the amended Terms of Service. For any material changes to these Terms of Service, the amended terms will automatically be effective 30 days after they are initially posted on the Service.

Our relationship with you

These Terms of Service, together with any documents referred to herein, shall constitute the entire agreement that applies to our relationship with you. Older versions of the Terms of Service no longer apply to our relationship and are entirely replaced by the current version.

If you do not comply with these Terms of Service and we fail to take action immediately, this does not mean we have waived any right we have and we may still take action in the future.
